Miguel Varela was born in Mata Ortiz, the town of the great craftsmen in Mexico. Miguel is a graduate from the University of Texas at El Paso. His paintings and furniture are being collected by many clients throughout the southwest including his home town of El Paso, Texas. If you pay a little attention to his work it's very easy to detect a social message which in turn becomes a legacy at your disposal, to be enjoyed by many generations to come.Each piece that Miguel Varela creates whether it is on canvas or a piece of furniture is hand made by the artist himself. This in turn makes every piece a very special and unique work. Every piece of furniture is designed, built and finished by the artist. His furniture comes in a variety of artistic and colorful finishes.
Every piece of artwork contained in the furniture is a limited edition print signed by Miguel Varela and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
