Gravity South

About Me

Gravity South began when two friends found themselves mysteriously drawn to the tip of Africa as if by some hidden force.
After setting up the studios Travis & Wayne started performing their unique flavour of progressive psychedelic electro music at clubs and festivals in and around Cape Town quickly establishing themselves in the scene. As their sound developed so did the performance approach which evolved to include a live audio & visual show custom designed to enhance the party experience.
Their music is a fusing of sounds from the progressive, electro and psychedelic styles, designed for the dancefloors. Tough driving kick drums interlaced with crisp percussion and punchy basslines make up the basis of this sound. The visual show is a live mix-up of content filmed by Gravity South, Audio-Reactive animations and sampled footage. The Audio & Visual performance is presented in a live spontaneous way that is adaptive to the vibe of an event.
Gravity South have performed at outdoor parties and festivals around South Africa for organisers such as Vortex,Nano Records, Earthdance, Insanity, Rustlers and more.
