I am a spin-off of the successful big screen movie, Stargate, released in 1994. I first aired on 7/27/1997 on Showtime, where I lasted for 5 seasons. I was then picked up by the Sci-Fi Channel where I became their top running original series for five more seasons. I'm shown Monday through Friday at 6 pm and until recently had the Monday night line-up dedicated to me for Stargate Mondays. I have also spawned a spin-off of my own titled Stargate Atlantis. We are currently the "Scifi Friday" shows offered to viewers. I am deeply touched by ALL of the efforts on the part of the fans to get me renewed.
