MyGen
Profile Generatorok so brief summary of my life to date:
i was born too early, and thus started my life in one of those incubator things. i was also born an odd yellow colour, and so had to spend a bit of time on a sunbed to try and rectify it. this is completely true. i feel that my early introduction to sunbeds may explain why i now live in official city of the sunshower - Liverpool.
anyhoo, i spent my early years living in various suburban towns, with very little to amuse me other than old people, and tree swings. at school i was a massive geek, who sported an unbelievably large fringe. at the age of 13 i discovered the joy of jangly indie guitar music, shortly followed by punk. this then led me to start playing the bass guitar. i will admit now that this hobby did start off as a ridiculous attempt to get the boys in the years above to take notice of me (after about 4 years, this method did eventually work).
so from the ages of 14 to 18 i was in my first band, which went by the name of Exploding Sheep. it was then that i realised that being in a band with your best friends really is the coolest thing ever. sadly though, the time came for us all to go our separate ways and head off to uni.
Other bands I've been in include: Idealism (spot the student band name) - we never did any gigs, just jammed for ages on Wednesday afternoons, and renderED me unable to jam for the rest of my life; 50mA - a funk metal band who unfortunately just missed the rise of nu-metal, but went on to be Multi Purpose Chemical, who really are going to be massive now (hey, i played bass with MPC for one gig, you've got to love that!); i may even eventually get around to writing some stuff by myself, but i've been saying that for bloody ages...
so that brings things more or less up to date. amidst a blur of drunkeness, scouse accents and numerous heartbreaks, i've somehow found myself in Liverpool, with a fairly useless Popular Music degree tucked in my pocket. taking the knowledge i gained at university, i took the logical step of working for a shipping management company. which sucked. thank goodness after nine months of that i started working for the music development agency, where i met lots of lovely people and learnt some numeric skills. i have now started working for deltasonic records, where i can continue to hone my numeric skills. bravo!
unfortunately my band of four years, Pale Faced Princess, split up at the beginning of this year. You can still hear what we achieved though, by visiting our Myspace. I've just started playing in Revenge Tragedies, so check us out below!
my other main interest is arranging words, otherwise known as writing. i've written for a few publications but i'm always looking for more!
