About Me

“Never mistake knowledge for wisdom. One helps you make a living; the other helps you make a life.”
I find imperfection the most beautiful & interesting thing about a person. I am free spirited & I don't jump on bandwagons. Common is a word that would never be used to describe me. There is always an ulterior qualm that looms above, or maybe it's below me? I prefer wit & charm over crass, & have been obsessed with countries other than my own since I was a little girl.Like England for it's incredible musical gloom, France for it's brilliant history of film, (plus I am half French)& Asia for it's enlightenment & intrigue. The one place I want to go before I die is Iceland. I realize that along with the times we are happy, there is an equal balance of utter sadness always with us. Just a few of us decide to thrive off both emotions equally, tragic & beautiful with all their passion.

Television:

poetry is more interesting by far than the telly....this poet really does it for me.
A FORMER LIFE
LONG since, I lived beneath vast porticoes, By many ocean-sunsets tinged and fired, Where mighty pillars, in majestic rows, Seemed like basaltic caves when day expired. The rolling surge that mirrored all the skies Mingled its music, turbulent and rich, Solemn and mystic, with the colours which The setting sun reflected in my eyes. And there I lived amid voluptuous calms, In splendours of blue sky and wandering wave, Tended by many a naked, perfumed slave, Who fanned my languid brow with waving palms. They were my slaves--the only care they had To know what secret grief had made me sad.
-Charles Baudelaire

“The best thing about dreams is that fleeting moment, when you are between asleep and awake, when you don't know the difference between reality and fantasy, when for just that one moment you feel with your entire soul that the dream is reality, and it really happened.”
My Favorite Poem lately
"Enigmas"
You've asked me what the lobster is weaving there with his golden feet? I reply, the ocean knows this. You say, what is the ascidia waiting for in its transparent bell? What is it waiting for? I tell you it is waiting for time, like you. You ask me whom the Macrocystis alga hugs in its arms? Study, study it, at a certain hour, in a certain sea I know. You question me about the wicked tusk of the narwhal, and I reply by describing how the sea unicorn with the harpoon in it dies. You enquire about the kingfisher's feathers, which tremble in the pure springs of the southern tides? Or you've found in the cards a new question touching on the crystal architecture of the sea anemone, and you'll deal that to me now? You want to understand the electric nature of the ocean spines? The armored stalactite that breaks as it walks? The hook of the angler fish, the music stretched out in the deep places like a thread in the water?I want to tell you the ocean knows this, that life in its jewel boxes is endless as the sand, impossible to count, pure, and among the blood-colored grapes time has made the petal hard and shiny, made the jellyfish full of light and untied its knot, letting its musical threads fall from a horn of plenty made of infinite mother-of-pearl.I am nothing but the empty net which has gone on ahead of human eyes, dead in those darknesses, of fingers accustomed to the triangle, longitudes on the timid globe of an orange.I walked around as you do, investigating the endless star, and in my net, during the night, I woke up naked, the only thing caught, a fish trapped inside the wind.
-Pablo Neruda

Heroes:

Jack Kerouac,Jim Morrison, John Lennon, and Oscar Wilde They were never afraid to speak their mind. Those men spoke the truth and never felt bad about it. Their spirits were bold and filled with courage, and yet they were misunderstood. They changed like we all do. I admire them because they were kind and spread love. They were real, and imperfect like us all.******************************************************** ******************************** these links are informative: the greater community and Michio Kaku ************************************************************ ***********************my favourite herbal tea EVER!!

poetry...................................................... ............................
Old men worship with long noses, old soulful eyes. Young girls worship, exotic, indian, with robes who make us feel foolish for acting with our eyes. Lost in the vanity of the senses which got us where we are. Children worship but seldom act at it. Who needs temples & couches & T.V.We can do it on a sunny floor with friends & make any sound or movement that comes. Roll on our backs screaming with mirth glad in the guilt of our madness. Better to be cool in our worship & gain the respect of the ancient & wise wearing those robes. They know the secret of mind-change reality.
