About Me

Matt Lucich is a San Francisco native who started his drumming endeavor at the age of ten. His professional career began in his early twenties when his original band Viv signed with indy label Ten Toes Over Records. The band played over four hundred shows nationally and released highly praised records “VIV and “Flawed” in two years time. After his rewarding stint with Viv, Matt turned his focus onto session drumming and teaching private lessons at local music store Bronstiens in South San Francisco where he is still on staff. In 2006, Matt recorded with Queensryche, toured with European blues guitar player Ana Popovic and joined Industrial Rock band Snake River Conspiracy. Not one to turn down an opportunity to play, he has had the pleasure of working with many Bay Area artists including, Luce, Miggs, Eion Harrington, Sila and the Afro Funk Experience, Megan Slankard, Samantha Stollenwerk, Essence, Bonfire Madigan, Joel Streeter and American Radio. He has played countless blues and cover gigs which Matt says was his greatest teacher.Matt is currently touring with Pat Monahan (Lead singer of Train) and recording records throughout the Bay Area and LA.
