BACKROUND ON DEANNA CASALUCE:
-Deanna Casaluce was born February 7th, 1986 in in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
-She is Italian & plays the character Alex Nunez on Degrassi: The Next Generation.
-Deanna originally auditioned to be Paige, but her friend Lauren got the role.
-Since Deanna & Lauren were already good friends, they didn't mind too much that they had to share a kiss.
-Deanna's celebrity crush is Dave Navarro.
-Deanna has just been given an official starring credit on Degrassi for season 5.She was previously a series regular in I Was A Sixth Grade Alien and has been a background performer in more than 10 productions. Deanna's training includes work at the Young People's Theatre, five years of jazz dance and three years of ballet and theatrical dance. She also enjoys singing, rollerblading, iceskating, yoga, swimming, cycling and kickboxing. Deanna was a 2004 nominee of a Young Artist Award for Best Ensemble Actor in a TV Series for Degrassi.

-Her other television appearances include the feature Virtual Mom, Disney Channel's In A Heartbeat, two seasons of I Was a Sixth Grade Alien as well as a reoccuring role in Noddy and Friends.
-She also starred in the movie Take The Lead.Lauren was a 2003 and 2004 nominee and the 2002 winner of a Young Artist Award for Best Ensemble Actor in a TV Series for Degrassi.
