Someone asked about "Andisha". Andisha is an artistic name I've allocated in hopes of finding time to someday release a recording of my compiled compositions/melodies. Andisha is a collective philosophical Dari/Farsi term that describes cognition, notion, awareness, intuition, conscience, insight, etc.
Anyhow, I am not a good writer, but I will attempt to tell you about me:
well, there used to be a "me", but through painstaking and arduous effort I had him surgically removed:). That said, much has recently changed in my life and all for the better. In any case, I am a genuine individual; my life is actually simple as I'm either:
--Singing with friends or working on a new composition with my Guruji (professor): http://www.soundingsrecords.com/kartik/
--Solving some stupid engineering problem for work
--Occasionally hanging out with my buddies
--Watching current events or the Comedy Central
I have lived in San Diego for almost 18 years and I'm dying here:). I love this city; I have turned down numerous opportunities to stay here. I currently work as a mixed signal test engineer -- my profession is uncommon.
Generally, I think most should obtain, at a minimum, a bachelor degree in engineering or physics to maximize exposure to creative / ingenious work within rigid / inflexible / absolute concepts. Similar absolutism may be absent in many fields relative to engineering or physics. This remark or generalization does not extend to exceptional people as Mark Twain, Kant, Amartya Sen, Beethoven, Zakir Hussien, etc. As such figures are boundless and any one subject would limit them. They usually set the limits, and march beyond absolutes:). In other words, it would be ridiculous to declare, for example, Martin Luther King would have done better had he been exposed to engineering:). This would be a laughable statement:).
As for the rest, since our lives are submerged within technology, then why should the technological innovations remain a mystery? An undergrad degree in engineering reveals the basics of this mysterious world of technology. Things like an airplane, an ATM machine, an orbiting satellite, a space shuttle, a BMW:), Myspace, Windows or Unix OS, Mars Rover, buildings, a GPS navigation unit, a carrier, electricity or H2O distribution systems, etc. start to make some sense. As an example, to have this Myspace profile, most would NOT have a basic idea of what goes on behind the scenes. I think this is unfortunate! In any case, I'm NOT claiming that other fields are inferior: mostly less absolute. Moreover -- to contradict myself:) -- the entire world cannot be engineers. I'm advocating for learners to obtain an engineering degree and move on to other fields; if not interested in engineering, maybe a double major would work.
