Filament Theatre Company is a collective of theatre artists who create provocative and innovative work that spans a variety of performance art disciplines. Filament's work strives to present an emerging art audience with unique interpretations and understandings of the familiar stories and themes which have become part of the current cultural mythology.
Past productions include the world premiere of FAREWELL JULIET written and directed by Max Truax, at Santa Monica Playhouse, and a workshop presentation of Lorca's YERMA, also directed by Max Truax at Santa Monica Playhouse. Our third production to date was entitled TERMEN VOX MACHINA written by M Deegan our resident playwright at Filament. We recorded and released the radioplay TERMEN NE MRET in the summer of 2005, and worked with this recording to investigate a new form of performance/play/back. It is our goal to constantly reinvent/reinvestigate that which has been done. Even if we're the ones who did it.
