My name derives from greek and means "a master builder". I am the art and science of designing structures. Some people would include everything from urban planning all the way to making furniture within my scope. Sometimes, in the abstract, a reference to me can imply any complex organization and/or structure from the entire universe to all of society. I like to just focus on the great artistic buildings of the past though. A few of them are posted in my pictures section.Vitruvius states: "Architecture is a science, arising out of many other sciences, and adorned with much and varied learning: by the help of which a judgement is formed of those works which are the result of other arts." Adding that an architect should be well versed in music, astronomy, philosophy, etc., and that a good building should satisfy three core principles: firmness, commodity, and delight.
