Motor home, the debut album of maine, was greatly acclaimed by all national publications, putting together magazines such as Mondo Sonoro, Rock de Lux or Rock Sound to place it among the best records of the year 2000.
Almost three years have we had to wait for Maine to bring us a brand-new album. “A moment before†is composed of nine new songs recorded and mixed during fifteen long days at Pig Studios, in Granada. Indeed, fifteen days are enough to give birth to a good record. An album with nine intimate compositions full of intensity and elaborated to the minimum detail: playing with profundity and the deepness of guitars; using exagerated reverbs opossed to more present bass and guitar lines; trying to pan the effects of all the sounds in an intense way so that they turn into stimuli that travel form one ear to the other creating moving sensations and giving the music a sort of three-dimension effect…
As regards the artwork (both the digipack and the booklet), Maine have rely on the collaboration of the prestigious artist from Valencia Xavier Monsalvatje, who has connected perfectly with the emotion, intensity and intention of the whole spectrum described by the new songs of the band.
The new songs of Maine appear to be not composed for light listenings, demanding a certain degree of attention and predisposition.
