Back to my blurbs...
I held out as long as possible, at least commend me on that. At first I wasn’t really down with the myspace vibe and the barrage of peer pressure didn’t help the cause of those looking to convert me – that is until I found out that www.myspace.com/bringbackthemixtape was available! I knew I had to act, and fast. After being beat to the punch on [email protected] I wasn’t going to fall victim again. Hey, we’re all hypocrites under fire -- no exceptions here, but I come to myspace to join you friends and with a mission…
BRING BACK THE MIXTAPE!
It’s a dying breed: blank cassettes are getting harder to find, stereos are being sold without tape players, and cars are pretty much CD only these days. The mixtape is an art form. There’s a personal process involved with the planning and timing -- not just a simple drag, drop and burn. Mixtapes are an investment of energy, love and labor not just soul less 1’s & 0’s flying by.
Don’t get me wrong CDs are convenient and sound great, but they sure as fuck ain't no mixtape.
