I mixed 2 records together for the first time in 2001 after many years of interest in DJing and music making. It was breaks, drum n bass, big beat, hard house and funky hip hop that inspired me to make the move onto the wheels of steel but my influences come from soo many different areas of the worlds musical spectrum, from jazz, blues and soul to punk and funk, rock to reggae, electro, hip hop and b-boy culture, dub, ska, rave, 60s phsycadelic stuff and loads of natural instrument music. I enjoy mixing a few different styles on the decks - mainly Breaks, DnB, and Electro, but also some more laid back stuff like nice hip hop to scratch to, dub n reggae, and twisted chilled out beats n breaks. I`ve been playing in clubs since 2002. I Represented Hull twice for my college (playing drum n bass) - 1st at Regifest 2004 in York and then again at the National Festival Of New Music 2004 in Leicester. I achieved an NOCN advanced certificate in popular music practice from the access to music, creating music through technology course. In August 2006 I won a DJ competition hosted by the Bad Girlz @ the Rhythm Room nightclub where i played breaks and electro on 3 decks. Winning earned me a residency at local club night `Euphoria`, and i also got offered a weekly slot on internet radio. As well as playing guest DJ sets at various events, I currently have a couple of residencies in Hull - I play Breaks and DnB at `Blended Elements`, `Beat Freq` and `Euphoria`.Alongside these successes is a growing catalogue of my own tracks.
