Based on their Jazzquintett TRANSIT the two fellows Peter Herzau and Florian Scheffler decided to start a project which combines the jazz elements of Transit with modern electronical aspects as they heard it in the clubscene of their hometown Berlin.
The result is TRANSIT ELEKTRO. It uses the energy and the electricity of styles like house, hiphop and dub for pre-programmed beats and added sounds and mixes it on stage with the live-played jazzy sounds of trumpet, e-piano and organ. Using delays and other effects the live-instrument-section melts together with the studio-prepared backing.
A great live experience full of break beats, blue notes and ragged vocalscraps. One small step for Jazz-kind, but a giant leap in the ever pulsating galaxy of TRANSIT ELEKTRO.
Be there, one foot on the dancefloor the other in the stratosphere.
