About Me

Iain Spink, (vocals, guitars) and Heather Grabham, (vocals, penny whistle, harmonica, flute) have been performing and writing together since 2003. They're debut album, "Fables & Labels" is available now: a unique blend of Americana roots and English folk, infused with a pop sensibility.Fables & Labels was recorded, engineered and mixed at Blue Room Studios, Canterbury by Steve Freeman. An experienced producer and sound engineer, Steve has previously twiddled the knobs for Eliza Carthy, Cara Dillon, Celtus and Albert Lee to name but a few..Fables & Labels features a supporting cast of musicians with dazzling and varied credentials. Between them have previously worked with:The Oysterband, Kadril, Cajunologie, The Boxcar Preachers, Kathryn Williams, Celtus, Dave Stewart, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, The Pet Shop Boys and Stevie Wonder. Heather Grabham first took to the stage at age 13 as one third of Tan Tethra, the Kent based Celtic Roots trio with whom she continues to perform.Heather is a virtuoso penny whistle player and a singer of rare character with an intimate knowledge of English, Irish and Scottish Folk music. Her own songwriting reaches beyond into the realms of pop, blues and country.Her talents have been in demand at celidhs, festivals and concert halls across South East England and into Belgium and France. Heather also performs with Belgian folk heavyweights Kadril and was a featured vocalist on their acclaimed album De Andre Kust (2005).Iain Spink has been performing his own material for over ten years.
