When I started doing music, it was along with myself and Martin Donald, originally we decided on the name "N-Force" circa 1993 (I remember those days, we'd just got a Roland Juno alpha and used to mess about with it in a friends flat). Somehow the Juno disappeared, but we got more equipment - a Yamaha SY85, a Peavey SP/SX sampler and a Novation BassStation. Then we became "Optical Illusion" and managed to get signed to Kirkcaldy label "Shoop", which was at the time one of the top Scottish Underground Labels... Sadly, there was dissention in the group and me and Martin parted company... It was the best of times, it was the worst of times - actually, it wasn't - it was certainly a page in my history I look back with fondness. After getting on with life, and having a few monetary setbacks, it wasn't until the year 2000 that I finally got back into doing music, this time with Michael Mainds as inspirational help - Drunkenly named DDMF in a pub, originally it stood for "DunDee MaFia", then became "Dundee Digital Media Foundation" (which became the basis for my company name, Dundeemedia)I still write music under the DDMF name when I get the chance, as work and family take up a lot of my time, but I'll post any new songs right here for your perusal!! Thanks for the time...
