When Ceenote first came into the music scene in summer 2005, he seemed like a novelty, but it quickly became apparent that he was, in fact, an exceptional artist, with truly a universal appeal.Ceenote or to give his birth name Christopher Rogers, the multi skilled rapper and singer was born December 3, 1984 to the parents of Betty and Joseph Rogers. Born in Mississippi but moved to Minnesota at age of 16, smooth R&B crooner and rapper Ceenote had a hard time convincing his skeptical parents that the music business was the place for him. As, a child he went to Kreole Elementary, and Ed Mayo Junior High. Ceenote proclaims to never have been a trouble maker but admits he had his share of fights. By the time he started high school he was into spoken word, and his passion for spoken word helped keep him out of trouble.In 2002, Ceenote left his gritty little town of Moss Point, Mississippi and settled in to the city life of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Ceenote claims to never really have a music background besides the times he performed in church or at local talent shows. After, the event Ceenote just looked at life normal and always dreamed to be a Physical Therapist. It was June of 2004 when he realized his passion for music.Listening to Al Green, MC Hammer, Michael Jackson, and Ron DMC are a few of Ceenote's influences as he was growing up. While watching these performers, Ceenote developed a passion and talent for not only performing music, but for producing and writing music as well. At the age of 19, Ceenote co-wrote his first song, with his partner Raymond Aaron also known as June G, “I don’t want no problems.†After, writing that song Ceenote committed his self to doing music which was his passion.
