I am originally from Ohio. And moved to Orlando 15 years ago to Sunshine, beach, and palm trees and have never been happier. I learned to play electric guitar in Ohio from a friend. And I learned a few simple songs like "Wanted Dead or Alive", but I wasn't very good. I dated a couple of guitar players. And they would always show me more things on the guitar. But I never played in public, only for friends. And I really didn't think I could sing.
Flash forward 10 years to Florida. I get an acoustic guitar. Don't have to plug it in. And I start playing everyday. I bought a Keith Urban CD. Knew all the words and happened to download the chords off of the internet. So then I was able to play and sing about 9 songs. And I still didn't think I could sing very well.
So my neighbor Eric started an "open mic" night down the street at the Irish Bar. And first night there, none of his friends showed up to play. So he asks me to play. And I never played in public before. I was so nervous. I played one song and everybody clapped. I couldn't believe it. I ended up playing every song I knew. All 9 of them.
Right after that, God did a miracle and started giving me original songs. It was a miracle because sometimes I would get an idea and start
writing and I would get a whole song in like 15 minutes. I couldn't write
fast enough to keep up with the words and it all ryhmed and I had the chords too. So after I had 2 original songs I went to the open mic again. And I was afraid to play the "Jesus" songs at the bar. But Eric said, "Just play it, they don't care." And when I was done, everybody clapped. And, once again, I couldn't believe it.
Since then God has given me more songs. And God still amazes
me with what he is doing with me and the songs.
I pray they touch your heart, and open your eyes, to the love
of Jesus. Because the world needs a savior. And Jesus is the
Savior. For we are held accountable for our sins when we die if we
don't have God's forgiveness through HIS Son. Receive Jesus today.
