2009 will be a bang out year.Hailing from Grand Rapids Michigan, Nerve began his craft as an emcee in Junior High. His love for Hip Hop grew as he spent the late hours listening to Kool DJ Red Alert MIxtapes, Listening to late night local stations and constantly being engulfed in the culture of Hip Hop itself. As his skills improved, so did his reputation growing up in the inner city. Nerve began running with childhood friends and spitting over various beats provided by his comrads. Even though his blood ran with Hip Hop genes, Nerve almost fell vitcim to the trials and tribulations of living in the inner city and decided to make the move to the bay area to better his chances of survival and success. In 2003 he linked up with fellow emcee Mr Rath, Paradoxx and Producer Studio Nav to go on and record 7 joints on the "Raw Flaw" compilation lp. The album was Nerves' 1st project and produced many memorable songs. After the "Raw Flaw" project, Nerve was invited to be a part of the Subkrew team and happily accepted the role as a team emcee. Subkrew members have collaborated on countless classic joints. During his feverish writing and recording he was introduced to CEO T Money of Urban Republic and after spitting was offered a chance to record his first solo lp "Loose Cannon" featuring production from Urban Republic Producers/Execs DJ D Sharp and Marv Net. The album also features production from the infamous G KOOP and Mark Davita. Guest that appeared on the "Loose Cannon" lp include Mickey Factz, Santino Sosa, Subkrew Member Mr Rath, Bavgate, Nonchalant, DJ D Sharp and Marv Net. Nerve has delivered a very commendable album and is staying on his grind wearing several hats including mc, marketing, promotions and booking. With the team at Urban Republic, he knows his time is now and he has patiently waited his turn in line to deliver his music to the masses. Nerve, Urban Republic and Subkrew will be a force to be reconed with in the next few years and his style is one that cannot be easily identified. That is what the consumers need.
