Hugo Mariutti began playing the guitar in 1989 and in 1991 he formed his 1st band, Wardeath - a thrash metal band which also featured future Henceforth drummer Fabio. Hugo played the guitar and was also the lead singer. The band recorded a demo called "Behind the Fear" and played numerous gigs in the Sao Paulo club circuit.In 1993/94 after the end of Wardeath Hugo formed Henceforth with Fabio and Andre Nikakis (bass), with the intent of making original music.By the end of 2000, Hugo was invited to record some guitar parts for a project that featured Andre Matos, Ricardo Confessori e Luis Mariutti - this project later became known as Shaaman. They recorded their 1st album, "Ritual", in 2002 and did some major touring, which resulted on the RituaLive CD and DVD.Hugo has also played guest appearances on Fabio Ribeiro's Blezqi Zatsaz album "The Tide Turns", on Skyscraper's "TV Lization" and on Eyes Of Shiva's 2nd album, as well as Threat's EP.The year 2005 was very good to Hugo as he released both Shaaman's 2nd studio effort "Reason" and also Henceforth's self-titled debut album.
