Sixty-Six
Got grooves? That's the question Sixty-Six asks. This powerhouse of an electronic act sure does. Sweeping the listener into netherworlds of aural bliss, Sixty-Six employs a zapping blend of breaks, chillout, ambient, electro and house to generate a universe of compelling sound and emotional songwriting.
Good Music
According to Jason Cramer of Sixty-Six, “Good music makes us feel uplifted, excited, joyful, energetic and positive!†And that's the goal Sixty-Six sets every time the creative process cranks up, to provide these transcendent feelings to the audience. Engage the mind with soaring melodies and drive the body with delicious grooves and before you know it, the audience is hooked.
Inspiration
The core of Sixty-Six's songwriting drive is, says Cramer, “clean lyrics, good vibes and professional quality.†Sixty-Six strives to present positive, inspiring lyricism to its listeners, couched in hypnotic grooves and executed with tight, crisp production values. Sixty-Six believes in top shelf quality.
The Spirit
Music is an ideal mode to present sublime ideas like spirituality. “Our relationship with the actual living God and Creator of everything gives us inspiration and direction.†Sixty-Six tries to convey this faith and passion through the medium of music, sharing spirituality with listeners in a way everyone can relate to.
The Artist at Work
Sixty-Six opened for Organic Guerrilla in November of 2006. To boot, more touring is on the way this spring and summer and Sixty-Six is considering a mid-summer rave. Writing is ongoing, with Cramer saying, “We're always working on new tracks.†Recording is constant, as well. And late spring may very well see the release of a 3-CD set.
Review
“Sixty-Six has displayed perfectly how spirituality and commercially viable music can converge eloquently.†- A&R Select
