36-year old PJ first got into soul in the early 80's listening the the great Robbie Vincent radio 1 soul show "The Sound Of Saturday Night" After "getting the funk" Soul & Hip Hop was the thing for a number of years until he got involved with various club nights around Birmingham & the West Midlands, where he met his friend & radio colleague Malcolm B who asked him to come to the New Style studios, where he played alongside Malcolm with his blend of new RnB complemented by PJ's classic soul & funk. This fusion of styles proved to be a real success, with PJ & Malcolm co-presenting the club RnB show for 3 years, as well as guest presenting the drive time & Breakfast shows.PJ took over the Sunday morning soul show "Soul Intimacy" full time from his old friend & colleague Tony Ray & has had the honour of meeting such great artists like Tashan, Sybil & Terri Walker to name but a few, as well as interviewing artists such as Joceyln Brown & Valarie Adams. For the last 4 years he's been presenting Soul Intimacy playing the music he has a real passion for, classic soul from the 70's & 80's as well as Neo & Nu Soul from the present day.In November 2008 PJ was joined in the studio by his friend Dwaine (aka MisterDee) who quickly learnt the ropes in the New Style studio and now brings his own brand of soul to the show, as well as sitting in for PJ when he fancies a week off...!Away from radio PJ has a passion for sports, especially football, he supports West Bromwich Albion who are currently back in the English Premiership.Join PJ every Sunday morning between 10am & 12 noon for the best in Nu & Neo Soul, Vintage, Funk, and 2-step soul from way back when to the present day.Check out the web site www.newstyleradio.co.uk and click on the LISTEN LIVE icon wherever you are in the cosmos!!!
