Influences: Story of DarrellPolice Blotter January 28, 2007 DUPAGE TOWNSHIP -- A Joliet man walking on Interstate 55 was killed early Saturday morning in a crash involving four cars. Police are investigating the reason why Darrell Kassis, 21, had pulled his car behind another vehicle that had stopped shortly after 4 a.m. in the center of southbound Interstate 55 near Interstate 355. Police said Kassis apparently got out of his vehicle and was heading over to talk to the driver of the first car when a third car came on the scene. The driver of the third car struck and killed Kassis while trying to avoid hitting the two parked cars. A fourth car, also traveling south, crashed into the second vehicle belonging to Kassis. Kassis was pronounced dead on the scene. No one else was injured.R.I.P DARRELL September 12, 1985-January 27, 2007
