I started out playing as half of Collector, a Brighton based acoustic duo that supported amongst other Josh Rouse. I went solo in 2002 and started writing my own songs recording two albums of original material 'Between the lines' & 'This place alone' and on the London circuit supported Nizlopi, Misty's Big Adventure and Flipron. In 2005 I met Simon Herries (ex The Inspectors) who added a rather gorgeous Rickenbacker 4003 bass to the mix and recorded third album 'Night into day'. The following year Dave Morgan (Primal Scream, The Weather Prophets, Rockingbirds,) joined us on Drums and I soon started recording my latest album "Once Around The Clock" at his Big Fish Studio and the band was completed with Ruth Tidmarsh on backing vocals. With this new album, I wanted to move away from the conventional singer songwriter style that people expect and write more up-beat, positive songs that people could dance to. It's partly a tribute to my favourite decade in music (1967-77) but also inspired by working with a great rhythm section in Simon and Dave who pushed me musically, adding a welcomed groove. I was also lucky enough to have the legendary pedal steel player, BJ Cole, play on two of the tracks which really was the icing on the cake.
