The Shores

About Me

The Shores started life in Glasgow with existing members Ryan (Vox) Craig (Bass) and Colin (The Weeman)... (Drums) forming the backbone of the band. On moving to Macclesfield they recruited Danny (Lead Guitar) and began gigging in and around Manchester, creating quite a buzz by attracting a merry band of followers that The Shores like to call..... Fans...............The Shores supported NEW ORDER at the Glasgow Carling Academy on the 18th and 19th of October 2006, receiving a great response and excellent reviews........In the past The Shores also supported Ocean Colour Scene for the 3 dates of their Scottish tour.......The Shores recorded at Rockfield Studios Wales with Bruno Ellingham (New Order/Spiritualized/KT Tunstall and many more) Phil Cunningham (Guitarist New Order) and Carl Jackson (Good guy & excellent drummer). The tracks added up top are a few demo tunes. The Shores are currently recording new material and will be looking for prolific support in 2008............Most recently, The Shores have received a mention in DAVID NOLAN'S Bernard Sumner Biography - CONFUSION: JOY DIVISION, ELECTRONIC & NEW ORDER VERSUS THE WORLD. Mr Nolan kindly observing that :-"THE SHORES, WITH THEIR HANDSOME BRAND OF U2-LITE IS AS EASY ON THE EAR AS IT IS ON THE EYE"..................REVIEW OF NIGHT & DAY GIG @ http://www.music-dash.co.uk/live/live.asp?item=1270 Review of NEW ORDER gigs @ http://www.gigwise.com/contents.asp?c..23827...
