Paul Sheremeta

People are starting to stand up and take notice of Paul Sheremeta and his songs. Recently, several of Paul’s songs have been recorded by various artists including: Aaron Jake Goodvin, Melanie Switzer, Longshot, and Krysta Scoggins.
It’s Up To Me (written by Steve Fox, Krysta Scoggins, and Paul) is Krysta’s current single. At the time of this writing, It’s Up To Me is enjoying its eighth month on the Cancountry chart. Several industry professionals, including Jackie Rae and Larry Donohue, have singled out the song and referred to it as one of the strongest on the CD.
The 2005 CCMA Independent Female Artist of the Year, Lisa Hewitt, is currently performing one of Paul’s songs and is considering it as the lead single for her new CD.
In 2005, Paul received a FACTOR Professional Publisher’s & Songwriter’s Demo Award. This led to several months at Cedar Tree working with CCMA Producer of the Year recipient Rick Hutt.
In the last few years, Paul has written with up and coming artists such as Colin Amey, The Higgins, Krysta Scoggins, and Aaron Jake Goodvin. He’s also written with writers such as Larry Wayne Clark, Brian Allen, Tim Taylor, Joie Scott, and Gilles Godard. When asked about the people he’s collaborated with, Paul says, “I’m honored that these people would chose to work with me. I have so much respect for their talents and for the successes they’ve achieved. I’m proud to call many of these brilliant folks my friends!”
So what’s on the horizon for Paul Sheremeta? “I’m excited to have a song of mine in Lisa Hewitt’s hands. I’m really looking forward to further chapters in that story! Gilles Godard and I have written a song that we believe is a hit. I guess time will tell – I hope we’re right! I’m a very big fan of maxims and one of my favorites is: Do what you love. The money will follow. I’m incredibly passionate and driven when it comes to music and songs. It is a goal of mine to be able to write songs full time one day. I will continue doing what I love and working towards that goal.”
