Resolution are a new Original band from Westport Co Mayo, This four piece band make music and damn good songs with influences from Folk to Punk to Rock, you might say their brand of music is POLK.
They formed on the 1st of January last year writing their own songs,
and began gigging as early as february the same year.
The band have been going from strength to strength introducing new songs at each passing gig.
With their biggest profiling gig to date playing support to Aslan who played at the Westport Music Festival in August, bringing out the bands strong local fan base.
They recorded a 3 song demo in july 06. The songs were recorded in 1 take in the Eagle Boxing Club at Westport's Quay (where the band also practice) so its what you could say a bit rough and ready but they are going to record a mini album in a proper studio in march or april.
They are also invited to play at the Manchester Irish Festival this coming Paddys weekend

Just to say Resolution played a great gig in Manchester on fri the 16th march and all the bands they played with were awesome.
