William (Scooty) King was born January 1, 1987 on the Eastside of Indianapolis, Indiana. He developed his nick name "Scooty" when he was born and currently uses it as his stage name today. Although he was born on the eastside, he was raised on and claims 42nd and Post Road. Scooty began his career in rapping at 11 years of age. He raps both individually and jointly with his group "MRC"(Meat Roll Clique), including artists Spark and Kano, whom also have solo careers. His rapping style has a "midwest country swagger" with an original approach.
