Samuel Oliveras Jr. "Master Bongo Player", was born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico raised in Brooklyn & Manhattan. At the age of 18 he signed with "Delight Records" doing studio works with many Afro-American Soul Bands. At the age of 23, he signed to an "Independent Record Label" and recorded a 12" single called, "Jungle Stomp" where he did all the percussion work. At 24, he played with," Harry Roman Y Su Conjunto Nabori". (Under the production of Piano Master Sergio George) He also played with "La Orquesta Fuego, & La Orquesta Invincible de Marcos Hernandez" (Under the direction of Oscar Hernandez-Gran Pianist of The Spanish Harlem Orchestra) and also played for Junior Gonzalez. (Singer of Larry Harlow)Performed and Recorded a CD with Freestyle Artist Syre. (Island Records) Sammy later moved to Florida in 2000. He has played with David "El Nene" Gonzales, Jerry Galante, Jose Mangual Jr., Nacho Sanabria, Jimmy Sabater, Piro Mantilla, Ritmo Latino Band, Paquito Acosta, Abiud Troche, and Alex Morris. On October of 2008, Samuel became a Messianic Jew believer. He attends "The Mishkan Synogogue" with Rabbi Jerry Keyes in Ocala, Fl. In October of 2009, he played with "Rafi Cruz y Su Orquesta". He is currently playing for "Trick Fig Band" under the Musical Director: Rob Mays.
