About Me

I know how people hate artists that run their own myspaces and have bios but I just had to do it...
Brandon “B Mc-C” McCollum was born on April 21, 1985 in Santa Barbara California. His interest in music started at a young age, being exposed to hip hop at the age of 4, around the same time he began to write stories and start making up his own little songs and acting out his favorite scenes from movies such as Ghostbusters and Back To The Future. This sparked his interest in music, acting, and writing at an early age. In 1994 his family moved to the suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 2001, while Brandon was in high school, he began writing songs with his friend with the intention of starting a band. It was then Brandon realized that he wanted to pursue his long time dream of being a musician and started writing raps with friends. He immediately started recording and performing at local coffee shops and talent shows, then began making his own beats at the age of 18.
After developing his craft for producing and writing songs for about 7 years, being in numerous groups, opening up for Tech N9ne, and doing countless shows, he is finally ready to unleash his debut independently released album “Mr. Nice Guy.” He produced or co-produced 10 out of the 14 tracks on the album. The album “Mr. Nice Guy” is a tail of a young man who is way too nice for his own good. Getting stepped on by his women interests, not understanding the stereotypical rudeness of his own gender, always displaying that Minnesota nice, and having an all around good time with his friends. With styles and subjects that are as diverse as the music he listened to growing up it is sure to have something for every brand of hip hop fan.
Brandon is working on a entertainment business with his friends starting with ComicalToons.com which is a website for animators who make humorous cartoons and people who enjoy funny cartoons. He will also be acting/performing on a soon to be public access show called The Comical Project. He is also producing local artists as well as assisting mixing with his best friend/sound engineer Mengy.
