The Meat Rack All*Stars

About Me

As always, Marissa and A*Star find their inspiration in pop culture--from new music, live shows, television, film, to art. . . and of course YouTube.
We’re hard at work writing new material and recording some demo versions of the songs. We’ll keep posting the demos to show how the songs progress. Our latest addition to the music player is a brand new version of Chick*Lets. The vocals were recorded in A*Star's dining room, so they're a bit rough. . . but I think you'll see the potential.
We’ve nearly recovered from the loss of our recording files, but the work has been slow due to our busy schedules (School, Day Jobs, watching HULU, etc). If you don't know about our "disaster," the short version is that "Loop StarF*cker" (A*Star's MacBook, which serves as our recorder, synthesizer, and drum machine) had a hard-drive melt down, and none of our files were recoverable. While it really sucked to lose our work, we can appreciate that the new versions of the songs are much better than the old ones. A blessing in disguise? Maybe. . .
Thanks for checking us out, and keep checking back for updates on our progress!

Sounds Like: We used to say, "nothing anyone has ever heard, and something you might not want to."

Now we say, "Take inspiration from the best electro-pop from the likes of Soft Cell, Dirty Sanchez, Punk Bunny, and The Presets, pair it down to its minimal elements, and put it in the hands of two musicians with minimal gadgetry or experience using it, who love rock-n-roll, and see what they come up with."

Yeah, it's a mouthfull, so if you can say it better, give us a shout.
