About Me

I was born 1972 in Accra, Ghana. As I lay in my mothers womb I would feel the rhythm of each of her steps, her heartbeat, her breath.Jazz would echo from my fathers speakers - searching my soul, touching my soul. It's as if I found myself in music.Growing up, things changed, opportunities came, responsibilities taken, mistakes made... But music never let me go.Jazz is probably the music I listen to the most. All my life Ive played and performed music from quite avantgarde experiments in my very early years playing the drums, keyboards, guitars, bass and vocal chords to more commercial projects such as covering old and contemporary popular songs.Today, musically, speaking, I have established a character of my own. What has remained consistent throughout these years, is the approach to a song. No matter how familiar the tune, my approach is always fresh. This gives room for interpretation and spontaneous authenticity.Music touches me, touches me deep down in my core. Is pain, is love, is anger, is joy.All my conviction, my devotion lies embedded in music, music, music.Because music rocks my soul.
