About Me

Formed in 2005 by Nathan Lee Shafer on piano, bass and vocals (Hard Place, Teach Me Tiger, Cabal) and Jessica Espeleta on guitar (Love as Laughter, Soddamn Inssien, Frenchie & the German Girls, Weird War) joined later that year by Jamie Spidle on drums (Starpimp) and in mid 2006 Oliver Hall on guitar and vocals (She-Rat, Megafuckers) and Adam Payne on bass (Grateful Dead, Residual Echoes), The Espeleta-Shafer Project or The ESPS played a handful of Los Angeles shows in late 05/early 06 under the now retired name "Shy Romeo" Reverting back to their original name they have been recording in their downtown LA studio and playing 20 questions of beer.
Oh oh, October 07, Adam left to pursue his own projects and we recruited the one and only Bobb Bruno (Polar Goldie Cats) to play bass which has been working well..
