Well this should piss off plenty of gays who read it. The word gay used to just mean sexual orientation but thanks to the gay media and the sheep that follow it's lead, the word has come to mean a specific culture - disco, circuit parties, designer underwear, Crystal Meth, etc. I have no interest in any of these things so I will no longer call myself gay. I'm just a guy who likes guys. One night at a gay bar, a gay guy in all seriousness told me because I was gay that I had no choice but to like gay things. How shallow. As much as the gay media such as Logo tries to claim they demonstrate the diversity of the gay community, all they do is promote stereotypes. Oh sure they have the occasional program about gays on farms or a gay rugby team but that is less than 1% of their programming. As much as the gay community like to scream about diversity from their soapbox, there is no diversity in the gay community. After many years away from the gay scene I recently tried going to gay bars again. I went to 4 in one night and there were 2 hairstyles, 2 styles of dress, one type of mannerism and everyone even had the same glossy tan colored skin. Where was the white, black, yellow and every other skin color that once spread throughout the gay community? Where was the individualism and creativity? The gay community was once a microcosm of the world as a whole but no longer. So please don't call me gay.
