I already know for a long time that music is of great importance to me and now I also know for sure that it will stay my passion.It all began many years ago when I was still a little child … I was fascinated by a little box that played music. I had no clue how this thing was called, so I asked and that’s when I got notice of the word ‘radio’ for the first time. I was stunned by the thought that something so little could produce something so beautiful. When my father taught me how to record music on cassettes, I really got the music feeling. I recorded on and on everything they played on the radio, listened to this music countless times and that’s how my first music collection came into existence.Time is changing, so did I, so when I was 10, I got my first C.D. player. I had never been that happy before. I changed my cassettes for C.D.’s and listened to them for hours, even when it drove my parents crazy.The music I loved in those days went from rock till pop and everything that was in between. It was only when I got older and a friend of mine gave me a C.D., that I heard of the phenomenon ‘house music’. I still remember this very first C.D. like it was yesterday … ‘Strand house of Ibiza’. This C.D. conquered my heart and still belongs to my Top 10 of best mix albums. It’s a mix of deep and soulful house and just because it gave me immediately a warm and sunny feeling like I was on the beach, it still stays a godsend to me.Because my first experience with house overwhelmed me that much, I started to deepen myself into this music. I visited all sorts of clubs like ‘Café d’anvers’, ‘Fuse’, ‘Decadence’, …, bought me a couple of C.D. players and a mixer and started to buy records. DJ Lo-Renz was born.Back then I was mainly inspired by the east & west coast sound, which sounded very funky and soulful with artists like Derrick Carter, Miguel Migs, Luke Solomon, DJ Sneak, Mark Farina, Jason Hodges, Inland Knights, …Nowadays I chiefly play a proggy mix of deep, tech and soulful house with some groovy, funky and electro influences. The meaning of this is to create a perfect balance between the underground sound and the club, so I attract a broader public by which I can share my vision on music with different kinds of music lovers.During the last years I played on many different places, going from Decadance, Basic, Black X, London Beat, Canard, the Loft, Cats Club to parties as Cadenza, Ibil, Funky Delight, Scoutsival and this aside DJ’s as Inland Knights, Ian Pooley, Yamo, Massimo da Costa, Timaxx, Pete Howl, Bugsy and Jensen, Cheez, Jonni Gratts, Robin & Thomas, Jack and Jazz, Dimitri Wouters, DJ Wout, Smith Davis, San, Moussa, Younes and many more.However i hope that in the future i get the chance to share my passion with more and more people. lo-renzif you want to download some dj gigs of me please click this link MySpace Editor Icons Collage Banner Generator Contact Table Generator Love Layouts
