About Me
Born in 1993, young Adelaide Drum'n'Bassist Josh (aka Snoopy aka Druggie aka Huskie aka Moose) got his first taste of real music when he was 8, thanks to his dads interest in local dance radio station, Fresh Fm. Finding interest in rare DnB tracks and day mixes that found themselves on air, Josh took immediate liking to Adelaides first regular drum'n'bass radio set; Rollerz.
Buying Pendulums debut album Hold Your Colour as soon as it was released, he instantly fell in love with the Australian trios dynamic sound, in particular, Spiral (not featured on the album) and Hold Your Colour.
Liking his first buy more than he expected, Josh visited local record shop Inbound to find out more of what was on offer. Leaving with a Renegade Hardware compilation album, he took his first interest (which he still holds today) into the harder, darker sub-genre of drumnbass.
For his 12th birthday Joshs dad bought him his first piece of production software, Magix Music Maker. Finding comfort in the programs simple-to-use setup he went on to produce his first two tracks, Elevate Your Thoughts and Taste of Ink.
In an attempt to branch out his sound, Josh utilised his cousin (Jim)s software library to produce two new tracks; The Mushroom Song and Without the Devil whilst on holidays! Taking a sample of Jims large software collection home with him, Josh started work on some new productions, including Within the Devil.
Happy with how his music was going, Josh started to leak out promos to his friends, and later on to local DJs (and pretty much anyone else who would accept them).
Bringing a bulk of CDs to his school every day, he started an interest in dnb amongst friends, especially Tech Itchs Soul Snatcher (thanks to its near-ridiculous intensity), the Panaceas Bear of Berlin, and his very own Taste of Ink.
Making preparations towards collaborating with friends, starting work on new production projects (including an up&coming hardndark mix & the very exciting Guilt project) and making links within the local and international dnb scenes, Josh looks set to be rockin shit all over the globe in up&coming years!! Watch this space...Catcha!
