About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
Love to play guitar, have an insatiable love of banjo and mandolin. Oh, and i play pipe organ too, but that's another story. Have been classically trained, have been jazz-ically trained, got a degree in composition, so i'm write-ically trained. I also love to rock out whenever possible.
Due to my short attention span, i like to futz around in a wide variety of styles including (in no particualar order): rock, county, jazz, classical, jam, funk, bluegrass and then some. Jack of all trades, master of none, well...master of something...maybe.
Currently i work a whole heck of a lot in musical theatre (in the pit!). If you are in Seattle, go to the 5th Ave Theatre, or the Paramount Theatre and you'll hear what i mean. It's fun. It pays the bills nicely, and i get to meet a ton of really cool people from Seattle, and from all over the country.
I got to play with the Seattle Syphony a couple of times. Hopefully they'll let me come back 'cuzz the tuxedo was cool. The first time was on a concert performing the West Side Story Suites, and the second time on Mahler's 7th Symphony whilst seated next to the fabulous Dave Bartely on mandolin. Did you know that the Symphony passes out EAR PLUGS for their musicians. All those years of being told that ROCK-MUSIC will destroy my hearing and guess what...classical music can make you deaf...
If you like, you can also hear me (sortof) on a few sound tracks. If you have some time on your hands, dig up a TV movie called "Eloise at the Plaza" (as well as it's sequel) and you'll hear me pickin'. You could also go see "Ghost Rider" or "Georgia Rule" and know that the guitar player was me. OR, you could watch "Days of Our Lives" - when you hear the main theme music at the beginning, listen (intently) for a guitar and that'll be me. If you can't hear it, don't worry, you shouldn't be watching soap operas any way ;) You may also hear me play the ukulele on an upcoming Shrek x-mass special. For reals.
I also play in some great bands here in Seattle. One of these is Carrie Clark and the Lonesome Lovers. I am PROUD to be a lonesome lover. We play alt-country/caberet. Please go here: carrieclark.com
Another band is one of my own creation with two of my best buds in Seattle. Feel free to check this out: nudgenudgemusic.net
Also check out my Friend Dayna and "The Fast Pretty Way"!!!!!!
If you'd like to hear some of my orchestrations, check out Jill Cohn's space. I've orchestrated for strings on 3 or 4 of her albums She's a fabulously talented writer and performer: jillcohn.com
