Born in Albany,Ga on the mean streets of the eastside, Skoota (born Gerry Coleman) had to learn how to take care of himself at a young age. " I ain't never had a job a day in my life" says Skoota. Along his visit he discovered that his old group had built a buzz and were more serious about music than they were then. After being offered a spot on the label Crime House that his long-time friend started, he accepted and went on to make hit after hit. Impressing those who once didn't take him as seriuos enough. Since then he has continued to make good music for the streets and mainstream. His debut album is scheduled to drop the second quater of 2007.
