I'm the roving reporter for Manifesto and Echoes magazines. My columns include venue reports, information on future dates within the soul scene and general gossip. I'm lucky enough to do the interviews too and can list many soul artists as my friends. Check out back issues of Manifesto to see who I have spoken to. To give you an idea, here's a small list: Martha Reeves, Billy Griffin, Prince Phillip Mitchell, Dee Dee Sharp, Carleen Anderson, Norman Cook (Fat Boy Slim), Marv Smith, The Velvelettes, The Vandellas, The Miracles, Diana Ross, Willie Hutch, Ruby Andrews, Ann Nesby, William Bell, James Bell, Freda Payne, Popcorn Wylie, Alexander O'Neal, Alexander Patten, Ann Peebles, Baby Washington, Bobby hutton, Bobby Patterson, Sidney Barnes, Brenda Holloway, Dean Cortney, Chuck Jackson, Cody Black, Doni Burdick, HB Barnum, Greg Perry, Phil Perry, Judy Street, Kenny Thomas, Little Anthony and the Imperials, Maxine Brown, Mary Wilson, Otis Williams (of the Temptations) and Nolan Porter to name but a few. There are many more on the list and even more on my "yet to speak to list". To say it is interesting is an understatement. Each one of these guys has a story to tell and each one is different and entertaining. I'm honoured and humbled to have been given the chance to get to know at least some of my heroes.
