My name is Mana. I'm Japanese. I live in Sapporo, Japan. I'm 19 years old. I go to an all girls catholic school. It's pretty annoying when people ask me if all the students are lesbians. I'm a buddhist but don't know much about buddhism. I know about Catholic better because of my school. I was an exchange student in Stayton, Oregon for 10 month. I've been attending all girls school since I was 12 and didnt have many guy friends so I got freaked out when the first time I went to school in Stayton, only because there were boys in the class room. (I also got freaked out when I found out that most American girls wear thongs. Cause only sluts wear thongs in Japan.haha) And there were only 3 Asians so it was kinda scary to have so many white kids and Mexican kids around at first. I couldn't speak English at all and I was way too shy so I couldnt make friends from Stayton but I have some great friends from Oregon. Now I can speak English but I still cannott pronounce some words correctly and I still am not sure when I have to use "a" or "the". I hate counting numbers in English. Like when I wanna tell my friends that I got 550 on the TOEFL, should I say five fifty? or five hundred and fifty? What should I say when the numbers were larger than 1000? Can somebody teach me? I won't understand you if you talk too fast and use idioms and slang too much.
If you are English speaker but not from America, I won't understand you. You gotta talk to me REALLY slowly.
I LOVE MUSIC.I listen to any kind of music that sounds good. But I don't really like Techno, Trance and Metal.
I'd rather listen to Country.haha
I like to make people laugh.
My friends tell me that I have a great sence of humor.
I think I'm funnier when I speak Japanese.
But I found it really easy to make Americans laugh.
Just talk to them and say some word that has "R"s and "L"s and they would crack up.
I'm not going back to Oregon for college next year anymore but I might go there to visit some of my friends.
