the audrey hepburn heroine began in august of 2006 when musical lifemates bobby and patrick found themselves in austin, texas.
bobby and patrick have been making music together since 1997. they played together in dothan, alabama's third-wave ska/pop punk band, hadji and the turbans. once hadji had seen it's day in the sun, bobby and patrick continued making music, this time in breaker box explosion, where they left their mark with their original brand of indie/folk.
in 2004, patrick moved to austin and proceeded to rock faces off of crowds while playing guitar in established screamo/rock band, leaving july. during this time, bobby had a highly acclaimed solo career back in alabama.
...and then fate intervened and brought bobby to the lonestar state! the audrey hepburn heroine, the dream of an indie/pop rock/alt-folk band the boys have shared for ten years, began to gel. with bobby writing the songs, singing and playing acoustic guitar and deuce playing piano and harmonizing vocals with bobby, the levon jeffries orchestra came in on percussion to complete the puzzle.
but in march of 2007, levon parted ways with the audrey hepburn heroine to pursue 80s cover band powerhouse, calling jack burton. but fear not, for the members of deuce's other band, leaving july, stepped up! drummer brian, bassist sherm and guitarist jason turned down their amps and shed their face-melting, hardcore image to help their brothers out. in april, the lovely emily opted to grace the audrey hepburn heroine with her stunning violin talents.
the result: a band that exists simply because our world is full of life, passion and love. their songs juxtapose strength and vice. bobby, patrick, brian, sherm, jason and emily aspire to make lives more beautiful through song.
