Check out the serpentine set-up from a 2000 Blazer 4.3. Cheap alternative to an aftermarket set-up--and you get a modern A/C compressor/power steering pump, etc!
Port-match work. Here's a trick: Mark the port angle from the heads (or the part with minimum material) with a straight-edge to use as a guide when removing material. The stock intake ports were ~20° off.
