I have been going to UAS for 3 years now and my degree is Mathematics. I am part of the PITAAS Program (Preparing Indigenous Teachers and Administrators for Alaska Schools and I plan on teaching High school math. It has been a long journey but has been worth it. I have made many friends and have kept my goals in sight. I plan on graduating in Spring of 2011 and feel like all my hard work is paying off. When I am not studying or working, I am hanging out with friends and family, or being part of the the Woosh ji.een Dance Group as a one of the lead drummers. It has been fun learning my Tlingit heritage because it is a part of who I am.
