Harmony Set formed in the winter of 2001 in Boston, the result of a strange relationship between four (at the time inseperable) friends. Influenced by tea, Yume Bitsu, and parties in jamaica plain -- Harmony Set came and went without much notice or fuss....
They recorded a 4 song demo in late winter with Will Killingsworth at Dead Air Studios in Amherst, MA. Three of these songs made it onto 17 cassettes that were given to friends after their first (and last) show at "Fuck Fest" in New Bedford(?) where the band showed up completely wasted, smashed the ceiling, and bummed everyone out.
Harmony Set fell apart shortly after the show for all of the usual reasons that bands fall apart.... There was a Harmony Set show booked at Boston's Massachusettes College of Art a few weeks later that everyone still wanted to play, so drummer Jessee called on two friends, guitarists Azy and Jason, who, along with Gibby and Desmond, reformed as Panic.
So at the Mass Art show "Panic" took the stage instead and played three new songs and a black flag cover. They were later signed to Bridge 9 and Harmony Set fell into obscurity. XOXO
