Growing up in a house where her mother would mostly wear tailor made designs of her own, were only half of the influences that led designer Joan Vaccianna to this destined place in the world of fashion. While other children’s weekend pastime fun would be found in a playground, Joan along with her mother and three siblings could be found walking the marble floors of the M.O.M.A or the MET. This Brooklyn born New York native’s upbringing of exposure to art and travel has cultivated her distinct eye for detail seen through out the VACCIANNA collection.Entering her third season and first year of business, Joan has become known for having signature looks infused into basic silhouettes. Her work has captured the attention of several magazine editors, stylist, and has also earned her the respect of established season designers as well. Along with designing the VACCIANNA collection, Joan freelances and designs advertisement campaigns for companies such as Hammerman Brothers of 5th avenue.Her drive and determination to live out her dreams, has matured the passion she has had since the age of 12. To see her designs come to life, and worn by everyday women everywhere is what she would love to claim as success. This success is not too far from the proud mother of three who is looking forward to her collection being sold in boutiques and stores near you.
