About Me

DJ A.S.P Official Myspace Page
DJ A.S.P introduction to the Asian Music scene began at the age of fifteen when he began listening to the likes of Bally Sagoo’s Bollywood Flashback and Rishi Rich’s Love 2 Love Remixes back in 1995. He consequently became inspired and began mixing his own Bolly and Bhangra remixes and handing out mix tapes to his friends at college. After a series of underground mix tapes on the internet, DJ A.S.P began to get popular in the underground scene when he remixed several tracks for many leading DJ’S to perform at venues. He largely remained anonymous as he spent most of his time in the studio making perfect sounding remixes and learning music production. In 2005 DJ A.S.P began to get recognition in the British Asian music scene when he produced numerous hit remixes. Naming only a few, the Rouge track “Don’t be Shy” Vs Snoop Dogg “Drop it like it’s hot” and the Dr Zeus “Ah Ni Kuriye” Vs Lethal B “POW”. These mentioned tracks were aired and played in the club circuit and radio stations for over a year constantly and was featured on the BBC Radio 1 – Bobby Friction and Nihal show and also the BBC Asian Network on the Adil Ray Show. There has been no stopping DJ A.S.P from then on as he becomes known as ‘The Bootleg Specialist’. He is known for mixing 2 complete different sounding tracks and creating one ultimate track that just blows away the best of them. After hearing a DJ A.S.P remix, forget about the original. 2007 is when DJ A.S.P made his debut as an upcoming music producer and he featured on the G.I. JaTT album “Militant”. Learning from his experiences while mixing tracks made by other artists he has now began his adventure of producing his own music after developing his skills as a producer. The Clash Up Mix produced by DJ A.S.P in late 2007 for the BBC Radio 1 – Bobby Friction and Nihal show just demonstrates exactly the potential he has as a music producer when he produced the Sholay Mega Mix Track. 2008 is very promising for DJ A.S.P as he will be releasing his new track “Nach Ley” by new vocalist Dimple Raja and also “Boliyaan” which is a House and Garage Track. For promotional use DJ A.S.P has just completed production for the classic Bhangra tracks, “Mitran Ne” by Surinder Shinda and Nacheeye Hasiyeeai by Ranjit Mani courtesy of Indy Sagu from his album “The Debut”. DJ A.S.P promises to still be creating his mixes of commercial tracks for the DJ and Radio circuit along with his production. Watch this Space for 2008.
