About Me

Explosive, tight, slammin and on the money - this band rocks!!! Led by lead singer Jeff Reids edgy in your face soulful rock tenor-baritone, scorched by guitarist Joe Freyres fiery Hendrixian, Van Halenish jazz funk flare, the slammin' groove oriented bass playing of Nick Geluso and anchored in the nastiest of solid foundations on the drums is Gary Gonzalez, this band says wake up damnit and hear the music. And they invite you to do just that.
This one came to us late, but its one we feel that area music fans should check out. Recorded by veteran music industry pro Micky James at his Freedom Of Speech Studios, SamePaige offers 14 tracks of indescribable, indefinable rock with a serious funk-oriented jazz & R&B bent that serious music fans should enjoy.
The Center Moriches-based band Jeff Reid, Danny Aviles, Charlie Leech and Joe Freyre on this album serve up a progressive blend of sounds thats completely original. The opener could be considered a kindred spirit of Living Colour, but there are so many ideas and grooves offered here that to compare SamePaige to any other band would be a disservice to these talented musicians.
Overall, wed have to peg lead vocalist Reid as one of the finest singers in the region at present. His aggressive yet melodic style brings to mind some of the great singers of classic rock, but his funk leanings put him into another category altogether. Today, SamePaige consists of Reid, Freyre, Nick Geluso, and Gary Gonzalez on drums, and they're gaining steam by the day as one of the most unique regional bands one thats totally unafraid to be original and groove-oriented. More, gentlemen, please more!
And, despite their moniker, SamePaige isn't yet another Led Zeppelin tribute band. Thank God.
