Mothership Mastering

About Me

Layout Created at KillerKiwi.net
Mothership Mastering is an audio mastering facility in Gothenburg, Sweden, built in 2006. New gear has just been added, an early sixties Telefunken/TAB modular mixing desk, with V70 series line amps full of funky germanium transistors and fat transformers. Other new additions include an NTP compressor, SELA EQ, Eckmiller filters, Neumann patchbay...the list goes on.New additions for 2008 are a second modular console, custom built for the Swedish Broadcasting Company in 1967. A Neumann U473 Mastering compressor, an AKG BX2 Spring reverb, some tape machines; a Telefunken M5c (2 track) tape machine (actually 3 of them, though only 1 is in pristine condition), incredibly i sourced a Studer C37 (tube tape machine, with less than 3000 hours on it, like new after 40 years), 2 EMT 930 turntables, and a few more Telefunken line amps...The acoustics were designed by Akusticon, who have also done work for the BBC. It is centrally located, next door to EMI Sweden, Handle with Care and several other key music-related businesses. Aside from mastering, owner Jeremy "Starseed" produces music under the moniker "Reon", with various side projects, and has a record label, 67Rec.Also a Dj since age 18 in 1994, he’s played at solar eclipse gatherings and desert festivals and so on... in 11 countries on 4 continents.Sony/BMG offered him $10.000 and a recording contract in 1997, which he kindly declined, due in part to their unholy connection with the Lockheed military company.........
