music myspace layoutsYou know who I am, the one who is consistenly, beat (not physically), attacked, hated on, and whose name continues to be thrown around in the mud, my name is Ricky Shipman, but all m friends know me as "SHIP" and Yes I am still standing after all those blows that satan throws at me. A ship (in my opinion, and was defined to me by a true friend) is a vessel used to carry the fish that have been caught, to the other side where Jesus said we are ALL going. In some of the work I do now, I do see myself as that vessel (that'll be explained later as u keep reading). I'm a Morning Radio Show Producer (by trade), living in Dallas, Texas. I started out interning in Charlotte, NC at Power 98, then I did producing and some on air work here (producing BJ in the Morning) and then locally producing the Steve Harvey Morning Show. When I did radio, I also taught part time but God has opened a door for me to be able to do that on a fulltime basis. 8 is said to be the number of "new beginings" and my career in education really kicked into high gear 8/8/08. I dont have much free time because of the demands of teaching and some of the other things that monopolize my time. I take each day 1 at a time and try to enjoy the blessings that God has given me. I'm a proud Member of the Inspiring Body of Christ Church(IBOC) in Dallas under the teachings of Dr. Rickie G. Rush. And I thank God daily for using him to deliver a word that has taken my life in a complete 360. For those who knew me (especially in Ohio). I'm not who I used to be (thank God). At the church, I attend everytime that the church doors are open, i teach at the elementary school inside the church, I sing in the 150 member men's choir, and am part of the C.O.P.S (Christians/Citizens On Patrol) program. Helping the police department watch the streets of our neighborhood. It amazes me to see the where I WAS headed and where I am now. I was on my way down a path of destruction, but thats all in the past and my future is bright as the sun. THANK YOU JESUS!
