The MeetMarket is a scheme that has been set up to bring filmmakers together with experienced buyers both in the UK and internationally.If you are selected, you will be scheduled into one-on-one meetings with buyers from the UK and the world. The MeetMarket will provide an opportunity for high quality, creative and original ideas to be fast-tracked from development to production, in a supportive, structured setting. The meetings will be in rotation and last between 15-20 minutes each. The local and international buyers will be invited to view online one-minute pitch teasers of innovative documentary ideas, along with one-page treatments, in advance of the DocFest. From this, they will then select which projects they would like to discuss at Sheffield DocFest 2006.Your project needs to be concise, succinct and ready to engage executives in 60 seconds – essentially enticing them to want to meet the creative team behind the idea.
